After baby is born, your body needs to rest before it is ready to have another baby.

• Birth control allows you to continue a family when you are ready financially, emotionally, and healthwise.
• Women who get pregnant sooner than 12 months after the end of a pregnancy can have more complications during their next pregnancy.
• Latex condoms and foam can help protect you from sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.
