Water is one of the most important nutrients you need every day.

Good fluid (water) intake:
helps your blood volume increase (50% during pregnancy) so that more oxygen can get to your growing baby,
supports a good amniotic fluid volume to protect and nourish baby, and
helps your kidneys and liver work efficiently.

Here are a few tips:
drink at least 8 glasses of water every day,
drink lots of water during exercise,
100% fruit juice is a good source of fluid but should be taken moderately due to its sugar content,
sodas and other carbonated drinks are not good substitutes for water.
